Hello Night Birds! Let's get started with reading! Don't forget the importance of reading!
You have three books to read this summer as a group:
-Night
-To Kill a Mockingbird
-The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
Night is about the Holocaust (when the Jews were killed by Hitler's Nazis); To Kill a Mockingbird is about oppression and discrimination faced by black people in the south; and The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is about a deaf character. I have not read the last book but look forward to reading it with you guys!

AJR-I'm agreeing with you. I would like to read "Night" first. Guess what? I am done work about "Night" and alread read it for five days. Very sadly story, Elie father have to die at end of story. I can't imagine how hard we have to suffer there.
No offense, I heard gossip "To kill a Mockingbird" is slowly story.
Hi! I am in Washington, DC at Gallaudet with Gail O'Rourke! We went to the Holocaust Museum last Sunday. There were many pictures, artifacts, videos, etc. on the Holocaust. It was very heartbreaking! We hope to set up a field trip this fall as part of reading Night. What do you think of the book so far?
